Samvel Karapetyan: ENA will continue to fully carry out the commitments
Tashir Group today disseminated a statement by Samvel Karapetyan on the purchase of the Electric Networks of Armenia. “Dear compatriots! As we have already announced, Tashir Group and Inter RAO signed a contract on sales and purchase of the electric assets in Armenia on September 30, 2015. The sides agreed that Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC (ENA) will continue to fully perform its obligations. Tashir Group also fully assumed the duty of management of the ENA. The management of the company will be transparent and understandable to people, based on the key component of corporate social responsibility. The company’s priorities include introduction of an anti-crisis program, optimization of the company’s financial performance, improvement of the quality of services and ensuring of the financial and economic oversight of the ENA. First of all, we plan to modernize the infrastructure of distribution of networks through effective investments. We will conduct a thorough and uncompromised struggle against vicious practices of corrupt employees and dishonest consumers. We will reduce the company’s expenses by concentrating internal resources, including reduction of energy loss that will allow the company to avoid increase in electricity tariffs in the future. The interests of three million people are, of course, important for us. They cannot be compared with the profit some corrupt employees and unfair consumers. To support citizens of Armenia, I have decided to reimburse the difference between the increased and former electricity tariffs for individuals and small business at my personal expenses on par with the Armenian government We stand ready to establish new approaches, a new quality of work, and frank, constructive partnership correlations,” the statement specifically reads.
