V. Hoktanyan: “They may plunder very transparently, may set meaningless tariffs”
Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Head of “Transparency International” anticorruption center, expressed hope in the interview with “A1+” that the audit at the ENA will help to reveal the activities of that company, “Issues must be raised as a result of the audit, and I think that revelation of corruption is possible.” Mr. Hoktanyan notes that now there is an impression that everything connected with this company is done transparently, “It is another issue that the transparency hasn’t given any results, they may plunder very transparently, may set some meaningless tariffs in a transparent way. The matter is to make it possible to reveal particular problems.” In this context what should be the position of the PSRC? “The ENA is a private company, and the regulatory commission, if it is a normal country, should have behaved more seriously,” highlighted Head of “Transparency International”.
