Hereafter the RA Armed Forces will apply equivalent striking measures
As the press service of the NKR Ministry of Defence has already informed, on September 25, at around 17:30, the Azerbaijani military forces have bombarded the conservation area of one of the Defence Army units located on the northeastern section of NKR, as a consequence of which the Armenian side has suffered fatalities and injuries. During the bombardment, the enemy has, for the first time, used 122 mm artillery measures to strike the subdivisions stationed at the rear of the border guard forces deployed on the front line. The RA Ministry of Defence calls the attention of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the international organizations, to the fact that the use of artillery on the contact line, throughout the ceasefire regime violations by the Azeris, generates new dynamics on the front line, which leads to the transition to full-scale military operations. The restrained behavior on the part of the RA Armed Forces and the reactions of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and other international organizations, implemented with the objective of aiding the political process of the conflict’s settlement, have had no influence on the opponent with regards to the issue of ceasefire maintenance. Instead, these actions provide the enemy with the illusion of supremacy, encouraging adventurism in an atmosphere of impunity. The RA Ministry of Defense declares the opponent’s continuous escalation of tensions, which regularly results in casualties as well as anxiety and criticism on the part of the international community, as unacceptable. Thus, in order to quiet the opponent and prevent it from carrying out its measures, and thereby aiding the negotiations, RA Armed Forces will hereafter utilize measures equivalent to artillery and rocket strikes, keeping the subdivisions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, its maneuvers, military equipment and human resources under permanently fire.
