People with ugly postures met Serzh Sargsyan and his photographer showed them to public (video)
“There isn’t a constitutional crisis in Armenia and all those who are [by the order of Serzh Sargsyan] involved in the Commission on Constitutional Reforms do not enjoy a reputation in society,” says Heritage party lawmaker Zaruhi Postanjyan. “Serzh Sargsyan is doing everything he can to stay in power forever. We need to understand that what Serzh Sargsyan is offering us by the draft amendments is against our sovereignty,” she stressed. Mrs Postanjyan did not participate in parliamentary hearings on the constitutional amendments as she considers the entire process to be illegitimate and spurious. She also feels sorry for the politicians who went to meet Serzh Sagsyan and shook hands with him. “By showing those ugly photos and those people with ugly postures his [Sargsyan’s] photographer tried to show that Sargsyan is the person that everyone goes to meet willingly. But it is not quite right,” the lawmaker continued. She then urged her colleagues to take reasonable steps and if they have made a mistake, ‘it is not too late to correct it.’ As for Robert Kocharyan's statement that he is against the constitutional amendments and will probably support the "NO" campaign, Zaruhi Postanjyan said she did not take Kocharyan’s words seriously. “His [Kocharyan’s] place is in prison. I do not believe him because he [Kocharyan] helped Serzh Sargsyan in politics.” On behalf of her party, Mrs Postanjyan promised to do everything they can to thwart the process of the so-called constitutional reforms.
