Statement by the Board of “Rise up, Armenia” civil movement
The Board of “Rise up, Armenia” civil movement took note of the statement by Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Police Ashot Aharonyan, according to which hereafter the Police will refrain from taking actions unlawfully restricting the right to freedom of assembly. At the same time we inform, that on July 27, 2015 according to the provisions of Article 24 of the law on “Freedom of assembly”, in the center of Republic Square in Yerevan, a sit-in strike will be launched at 18:00 with the demand to revoke the decision on electricity price increase. The organizers of the sit-in strike are Aram Tarverdyan, Andrias Ghukasyan and Davit Sanasaryan.
