Investigators used force towards husband and sons
On June 3, 2015 at about 11:45 PM senior investigator of Stepanavan Investigation Division of RA Investigation Committee Lori Marz Investigation Department Edik K., who was a public agent, and investigator of the same division Gagik A. noticed in the street about 25-30 persons quarrelling with one another. Approaching them they represented themselves as investigators and stopped the quarrel, but the quarrelling persons- citizen Varuzhan M. and his sons, other persons, taking painfully the demands of the public agents, assaulted the investigators and struck numerous blows with hands and feet on different parts of their bodies. On the incident a criminal case was instituted at RA Investigation Committee Lori Marz Department pursuant to part 1, Article 316 and point 1, part 3, Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. During the preliminary investigation Varuzhan M.’s wife informed that the investigators who had interfered in the mentioned incident had used force towards her husband and sons and caused bodily injuries. Subsequently, conditioned by the factual circumstances of the case, starting from the necessity of guaranteeing complete, impartial and multi-sided investigation, the criminal case was sent to RA Special Investigation Service for investigation.
