Russia’s position is the most eloquent self-incriminating testimony (video)
The Netherlands applied to the Security Council of the UNO to create the international tribunal in order to examine the case of “Boeing 777” airliner belonging to the Malaysia Airlines, which crashed in Donetsk on July 17 of last year. Earlier Malaysia put into circulation the resolution to establish a tribunal. The airliner was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala-Lumpur. 298 passengers and the crew died. Unlike Ukraine, the RF is against the creation of the tribunal. “The fact that the RF is against it is the most eloquent self-incriminating testimony to all this,” says political expert Ruben Mehrabyan. “As it has already been a year and the topic is on the informational agenda, the main interested countries- the Netherlands and Malaysia, are trying to transfer the issue into another level, in particular, into tribunal,” notes political expert Armen Minasyan. During the crash of the airliner active military operations continued in Donetsk. The Interstate Aviation Committee held an investigation and the results will be summed up in autumn: “Russian side observes that it is another occasion to back Russia into a corner, isolate it, as there is already the idea of tribunal. Some countries have already joined, it is clear that the western coalition has anti-Russian attitudes and it will also join the idea,” notes Armen Minasyan. He thinks that it is not necessary for the tribunal to be anti-Russian: it is just a political strategic game: “If questions are raised in the tribunal, in all cases Ukraine will carry a large share of the responsibility: Boeing was shot in the airspace of Ukraine and where there is a conflict. It was the responsibility of Ukrainian aviation forces to create a no-fly zone.” “Buk missile system was used, which was used by the pro-Russian separatists in Donbass and they could possess that weapon only if the RF had provided it,” says Ruben Mehrabyan.
