Vaghinak Shushanyan: A person can make a mistake, yet it does not mean he is a traitor (video)
On Sunday, the protest against rising electricity prices has divided into two teams, with the No to Plunder Initiative, which spearheaded the campaign against the rise in electricity prices, taking its weeklong street protests back to Liberty Square, while majority of protesters staying in Baghramyan Avenue. Members of the No to Plunder movement frequently visit Baghramyan Avenue as ordinary citizens. Vaghinak Shushanyan, one of the members of the initiative, says they are received normally by protesters camped in the avenue. “I am not a traitor to be treated badly. Everything should be decided in peace. A person can be mistaken, yet it does not mean that he is a traitor,” he said. Armen Mkrtchyan, a former member of the initiative, has stayed in Baghramyan Avenue. He has ended his collaboration with the initiative, considering that there is no solidarity. Since the bulk of the protesters decided to stay in Baghramyan, I joined them with my friends as a servant of our people, a soldier,” he said. Monday evening on the avenue differed from the previous evenings, with participants of the protest demonstrating their skills and entertaining others.
