Police strengthens presence near Opera House
Large numbers of police officers are spotted in the neighbourhood of Liberty Square in Yerevan. Chief of the Yerevan Police Ashot Karapetyan is also there. There are about 30 police cars in the area. A1+ has tried to talk to several policemen but they have refused to answer our questions. Perhaps, the heavy presence of police forces is conditioned by last night’s events when part of activists went to Mashtots Avenue to continue the protest against rising electricity prices there.
