Garbage bins on Baghramyan Avenue: Activists again rally against power price hike (video)
Hundreds of activists campaigning against the rise in electricity prices in Armenia again rallies in Liberty Square on Tuesday evening and held a march to the presidential headquarters on Baghramyan Avenue several hours after a violent breakup of a protest on the avenue in which dozens of activists were injured and many others were taken to police stations. Members of the No to Plunder pressure group again started a sit-in on Baghramyan. The future actions of the initiative are still unknown. Police have cordoned off the street preventing the activists’ further advancement. Demonstrators have placed garbage bins between the citizens and policemen.
