Body of Russian soldier found in Gyumri
A man’s body with traces of violence was found in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri this morning. The man has been identified as I. Novikov, a Russian soldier serving in the 102nd Russian military base stationed in Gyumri, Spokesperson for the Investigative Committee Sona Truzyan told armtimes.com. “The body was found in the neighbourhood of Mother Armenia memorial in Gyumri. There are traces of violence on the body and injuries by cutting and piercing instrument,” Sona Truzyan said. She added that a criminal case has been instituted under Article 104 of the Armenian Criminal Code.
