Sadoyan spoke about “the biggest disgrace of the ENA” (video)
Today the RA Public Council held a discussion on electricity price increase in order to form a joint viewpoint and to present it to the Government and the President. Head of the Public Council's Committee on Financial, Economic and Budgetary Affairs Vazgen Safaryan presented the results of their committee’s research, “We have held a long research, in particular we have examined the document of the bid for electricity price increase presented by the ENA. Imagine, no argument is justified and expenses and losses are exaggerated. In particular, the ENA bought cement for AMD 57000, which is 7 million dollars. Such baseless facts are numerous in the document,” noted Safaryan. Head of the Public Council’s Committee on Entrepreneurial Activities and Consumers’ Affairs Arshak Sadoyan spoke about “the biggest disgrace of the ENA”. He says that there is no reason for electricity price increase in the document of justifications presented by the ENA, “Not only there isn’t any justification, but also the ENA has acted disgracefully by presenting a document to the PSRC, in which it introduces expenses, which, it also knows, must be rejected by the Committee.” Former NA lawmaker also spoke to the electrician of their district in order to find out the amount of his salary, “Garik said that he gets AMD 120000 salary, whereas the ENA presents AMD 220000 as an average salary. It is clear that the average salary will be so high, when the heads get so high salaries,” noted Sadoyan. Public Council’s President Vazgen Manukyan addressed the participants by expressing readiness to listen to the people, who had any justifications for electricity price increase. No member of Public Council defended justifications for electricity price increase presented by the ENA.
