US to support Armenia in the fight against corruption
Armenia’s Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan received on Monday US Ambassador to Armenia, Mr Richard Mills. The interlocutors discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, including the introduction of a system of digitizing and archiving legal cases. Hovhannes Manukyan stressed the need for such a system in the context of access to justice and public awareness.The two men also focused on corruption control priorities, public awareness of the activities of the Anti-Corruption Committee and cooperation on other issues with the United States. The US Ambassador reaffirmed US government’s commitment to contribute to reforms in the judicial system and human rights protection, the press service of Armenia’s Ministry of Justice reports.
