The Armenian Revolutionary Federation –Dashnaktsutyun has no connection with Wednesday’s attack on a car carrying Suren Khachatryan, Governor of Armenia’s southeastern Syunik province, ARF-Dashnaktsutyun lawmaker Artsvik Minasyan said today during the parliamentary briefings. “I can assure you that we have nothing to do with the shooting in Gyumri. I answered with humour to raise your mood,” Artsvik Minasyan said adding that all issues should be solved in the legal framework. “Delays undermine credibility of law enforcement agencies and instill mistrust, especially in high-profile cases. I am speaking about the shooting in Gyumri, but also the murder of Hrach Muradyan, Head of Proshyan village.  The Prosecutor General’s speech did not instill faith in people. I think definite steps should be taken to identify the   gunman who allegedly shot at Khachatryan’s car,” he said. Suren Khachatryan, his driver and assistant came under fire on Kapan-Goris road on Wednesday, May 20. the Investigative Committee later issued a statement saying nobody was hurt in the shooting. The Committee also said they were taking necessary investigative measures to clarify all circumstances of the incident.
