HHK member expelled from party for ignoring superiors’ decision
The decision was taken during a sitting of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) held in Armenia’s Kotayk marz. “There were certain disciplinary problems,” says HHK member Ruben Tadevosyan. Asked whether Artur Harutyunyan’s expulsion from the party was somehow connected with the upcoming mayoral elections in Abovyan city, as the HHK is going supported Vahagn Gevorgyan, the candidate proposed by Gagik Tsarukyan, Mr Tadevosyan said, “Yes, we shall support Vahagn Gevorgyan and our party members are to carry out the orders issued by their superiors.” Does it mean that Artur Harutyunyan ignored the party’s decision by running in the elections? “Yes, it does,” Ruben Tadevosyan said in reply to A1+’s next question.
