Turkish political scientist had Forget-Me-Not pin on his shirt (video)
Sooner or later, the Turkish government will have to recognize the Armenian Genocide and apologize to the Armenian people, says Turkish politician Naaji Syonmes. He arrived in Armenia earlier this week to participate in the international forum “Against the Crime of Genocide.” The Turkish politician says Turkey fears to recognize the Armenian Genocide as it will have to provide material compensation. Cengiz Aktar, another Turkish political scientist participating in the Yerevan-hosted forum, says although Turkey does not recognize the Armenian Genocide, positive changes have been observed in his country. By the way, Mr Aktar had a Forget-Me-Not pin, a chosen symbol of commemoration of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, attached to his shirt which he seemed to be hiding at first.
