Vladimir Spivakov arrives in Yerevan to share the grief of Armenians

Famous conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov, a great friend of the Armenian people, arrived in Yerevan on April 12 to share the grief of the Armenians and perform concerts commemorating Armenian Genocide victims. Answering a journalist’s question at Zvartnots airport concerning his attitude on the Armenian Genocide, the Maestro said his visit to Armenia shows his attitude. “I came to Armenia. How do you think I can feel?” Mr Spivakov said. When reminded that not all countries in the world have recognized the Armenian Genocide, the Maestro said, “It is their problem. Many countries have recognized the Genocide, haven’t they? Yesterday, Pope Francis recognized the Armenian Genocide. This is already a serious fact that may have has far-reaching consequences. Russia has also recognized.” Vladimir Spivakov will perform three concerts in Yerevan from April 14 to 16, the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia reports.
