Fourteen cases of cancer detected during discount period at Armenian-American Health Centre (video)
Director of Armenian-American Health Centre, Khachanush Hakobyan, is glad to announce that the discounts announced at the Centre on the occasion of Women’s Month will last for another week. “After we announced discounts, we saw a significant increase in the number of patients visiting our Centre. Also, 14 cases of cancer were detected by screening mammography. Most of these patients were unaware that they had the disease,” she said. Khachanush Hakobyan says people are becoming more careful about their health but they cannot afford treatment because of financial problems. “I was convinced that people do not go to doctors because they are not emotionally ready to do it, but the sharp increase in the number of patients during discount periods proves the opposite: people want to be healthy but cannot afford the cost of treatment,” she said adding that the number of visitors from regions has also increased.
