Administrative action launched against Orange Armenia Company
The State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) has launched an administrative action against Orange Armenia Company for its dishonest activities, particularly misleading advertising. The decision was taken at the SCPEC sitting on April 3. The company advertises a variety of cell phone models to new customers at a mere 1 AMD, without mentioning the details. The SCPEC argues that Orange doesn’t inform potential customers that they must subscribe to a 10,000 AMD plan to receive the offer. The study also revealed that the offer is for first-time customers, which is not mentioned in the advertisement.
