The forensic re-examination of Armenian lawmaker Aram Manukyan has revealed that he suffered light bodily injuries during an attack in December, 2014. Talking to A1+, Armen Khachatryan, a lawyer of the Armenian National Congress (HAK), said the second examination was held about 90 days after the incident and the results can cause doubts. Khachatryan does not exclude that the repeated tests could have deliberately delayed. Aram Manukyan, a senior member of the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK), was confronted by an unknown assailant as he was returning home on December 11, 2014. The attacker did not say anything to Manukyan, but at once started hitting him in the face and then took to flight. HAK representatives connected the attack with the lawmaker’s political activities and said it was politically motivated. Arshak Svazyan, the 42-year-old man detained in connection with the attack on the opposition lawmaker, was sent home after giving give a written undertaking not to leave the city.  Manukyan was subjected to forensic examination which revealed that he had received a minor injury.  The lawmaker objected to the examination results and motioned for a second examination.
