Tonight launch of “100 LIVES” initiative to be announced: live

On March 10 in New York (in Armenia on March 11) the launch of “100 LIVES” new initiative and the foundation of “AURORA INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN PRIZE” will be announced. The initiative aims at expressing gratitude to those people and organizations, which 100 years ago saved many Armenians from the Armenian Genocide. The founders of “100 LIVES” are famous businessmen and philanthropists Ruben Vardanyan and Nubar Afeyan and President of New York Carnegie Foundation Vardan Gregoryan. The aim of “100 LIVES” initiative is to draw the attention to the issues relating to genocide and violation of human rights and the foundation of the prize aims at encouraging the people, who nowadays make efforts for saving lives as well as express gratitude to all the organizations and people, who saved thousands of Armenians years ago. “With this initiative we want to express our gratitude to those, who helped Armenians 100 years ago and whose efforts ruined the genocide initiators’ main goal- the extermination of the Armenian nation. We have combined three components within the frames of the project, which relate to our past, present and future,” said Ruben Vardanyan, co-founder of “Initiatives for Development of Armenia” (IDeA) foundation.
