Speaking about the president’s decision to dismiss Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) leader Gagik Tsarukyan from the National Security Council and start tax inspections of his numerous businesses, Republican lawmaker Gagik Minasyan said until recently his [Tsarukyan’s] absences did not give rise to concerns but ‘things have changed now.’ Gagik Minasyan added that during the sitting of the BHK executive council on February 13, Gagik Tsarukyan discussed [with his teammates] all issues that he had spoken about at a conference attended by non-governing political forces, i.e. Tsarukyan called for as nonstop rallies, marches, demonstrations, disobedience and so on. “This is very dangerous. Why should Tsarukyan make calls that threaten the national security of our country? We must understand that he is making calls that are unacceptable in a country which is fighting an undeclared war,” said the Republican MP. Mr Minasyan says the BHK leader is now calling for a nationwide mobilization through nonstop rallies and demonstrations and stresses that the calls stem from the four points that were presented by the president a day ago.
