Criminal case instituted in connection with murder attempt
On March 22, 2014, a resident of Tsovak Community of Gegharkunik region Jivan H. reported to the Vardenis department of Gegharkunik Regional Administration of the Armenian Police that on the same day at about 19:00, his co-villagers Armen A., Ruben D., Abgar H., Davit B. and Mkhitar H. had attacked Varuzhan H. who was the son of the worker engaged in agricultural works by tractor in their community. They damaged the tractor with the tools preliminary taken by them and Mkhitar H. fired shots in the direction of the son with the gun kept with him by attempting to kill him. The criminal case launched in the Vardenis Investigation Department of Gegharkunik Regional Investigation Administration of the Investigation Principal Department of the Police in accordance with Parts 1 of Article 34-104 and 235 of the Armenian Criminal Code by the decision of the General Prosecutor was sent to the Special Investigation Service based on the factual circumstances of the case and with a view to ensuring the comprehensive, complete and objective examination thereof and a legal proceeding has been instituted. A preliminary investigation is underway, the SIS Press Service reports.
