Loss of Crimea is lesser evil - say political analysts (video)

It is already a year peace has turned away from Ukraine. More death reports are received  from Ukraine as fighting continues in the country. Political analysts say such an outcome was predictable: Ukraine’s neighbor would not reconcile with Ukraine’s cooperation with the West. The massive fight on Kiev's landmark Independence Square (Maidan) gave partial results – in 2014, Ukraine signed an association agreement with the European Union. Anyway, no one hurries to consider the agreement as a major achievement for Ukraine. Political analysts consider the loss of Crime a lesser evil. Russia is not determined to put down weapons. Besides, the fate of Donetsk and Luhansk is still uncertain. The question is left hanging in the air: Ukraine may lose these areas at any moment.  Ukraine is suffering today from the clash of Russian and Western interests.
