Gyumri mourning loss of Avetisyan family members (video)
Gyumri is mourning the loss of the six members of the Avetisyan family who were killed on Monday. Citizens in Gyumri today held several protests, including at the Consulate of Russia and the Russian military base, chanting “Shame on You” and demanding a full and thorough investigation of the case Valeri Permyakov, a 19-year-old soldier serving at Russia’s 102nd military base in Gyumri, yesterday confessed to slaughtering six members of the Avetisyan family. He was detained on Monday by Russian border guards near the border with Turkey. Gyumri’s Tsayg TV has made a video about the mourning city.
