Foreign screenings of “Levon Hayrapetyan: Imprisoned Freedom” documentary, which was presented to public’s attention days ago, continue around the world. From December 24-26 it has been screened in 9 cities including London, New York, Madrid, Berlin, St. Petersburg, Milan, Vienna, Stockholm and Rome. The representatives of Armenian communities in Diaspora, social, cultural and political figures were present at the screenings initiated in the offices of “Hayrenik” patriotic union. We remind that the film features the businessman’s past life and the spiritual support he offered to heroes of the Nagorno-Karabakh liberation battle by initiating the Gandzasar monastery’s repairs, as well as Hayrapetyan’s contribution to Artsakh’s development following the war. The film also turns to the criminal case against Levon Hayrapetyan. The investigation started after the testimony of Former Senator of the Federal Council Igor Izmestev from Bashkiria, who is sentenced to life in prison for a series of crimes. Former Senator told that in 2009 Hayrapetyan had connection with the sale of shares of “Bashneft” company.
