Armenia’s first President, French Ambassador meet in Yerevan
On December 12, Armenia’s first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan met with French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-François Charpentier on the latter’s initiative. During the two-hour meeting, the two men discussed regional issues, as well as prospects of the Karabakh conflict settlement and normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. They also dwelt on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. Levon Ter-Petrosyan also presented his opinion on political developments in Armenia, especially the recent series of attacks against Karabakh war veterans and an opposition lawmaker.
