Today at the beginning of Government session Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan assigned President of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition Artak Shaboyan to present the price increases at the markets. Mr. Shaboyan noted that exchange rate depreciation directly influenced the prices of imported products and somehow the prices of local production, “We have carried out a research for 16 products. In particular, there is price increase in dairy industry. Exchange rate fluctuations may influence dairy industry, as some ingredients for the production of dairy are imported from abroad and it may influence the prices.” He noted that the prices of products have increased by 2-13 percent, and daily observation will be continued. Prime Minister clarified whether there aren’t abuses. “At this moments price increases are in line with exchange rate and after our research we will introduce the final results,”- answered Artak Shaboyan.
