I do not want to see Conchita Wursts in Armenia - says Hayk Babukhanyan

Lawmaker Hayk Babukhanyan today praised the treaty on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. Speaking in the Armenian parliament on December 3, Mr Babukhanyan first said his party - the Constitutional Right Union (SIM) - had always been an independent party that supported the idea of integrating with Russia. “After joining the EEU we shall have a growth in the GDP, volume of investments and living standards. We already exercise certain privileges; we import gas and diamonds 30 percent cheaper than other countries.” He then enumerated all disadvantages that Armenia would have if it joined the European Union. “I do not want to see teachers who distort children and anger their parents. I do not want to see the feast of Conchita Wursts. Therefore, I am going to vote for the treaty for the same of Armenia,” he said.
