Snow in Armenia: Most roads are passable
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that most roads in Armenia were passable as of 8.00 a.m., December 3. However, Sotk-Karvachar roadway is difficult to pass. Also, the roads in Sisian city in Synuik marz, Lanjik and jajur villages in Shirak marz, as well as Ashotsk-Amasia, Aparan-Aragats, Charentsavan-Hrazdan roadways are covered with ice in some sections. It is snowing in Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, Armavir, Lori marzes. Snow cleaning continues across the republic. The Ministry recommends drivers to use winter tyres. The Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia’s Interior Ministry reports that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for vehicles with tyre chains that can seat up to 15 passengers.
