Levon Zurabyan: I strongly reprimanded my leg (video)
Lawmaker of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) Levon Zurabyan today commented on Thursday’s incident with his Republican colleague Samvel Farmanyan. Zurabyan was surprised to know that it was Farmanyan who informed media representatives about the incident. “Mr Farmanyan used his bright imagination and told a lie. People know how to call a person who is the first to speak publically about such an incident. He [Farmanyan] has reason to be upset because he is already familiar with my leg. I witnessed this incident, and my leg simply exceeded the limits of self-defense. And I criticize my leg for its action. I severely reprimanded my leg and it promised me not to do such things again,” said Mr Zurabyan. He declined to say the cause of the dispute and refused to say where exactly he had hit Farmanyan, saying his words could be used as testimony. On Thursday, November 13, Samvel Farmanyan told media outlets that he had slapped Zurabyan. This came after Farmanyan announced in parliament that the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) distributed money for the HAK during the elections. This resulted in a scuffle between the two lawmakers.
