Stepan Demirtchyan: Big businesses have coalesced with power

The draft budget for 2015 does not reflect Armenia’s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union, Armenian lawmaker Stepan Demirtchyan said in parliament on November 12. “It is not clear how the membership can affect the state budget,” he said. “Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said he did not have a magic wand that can instantaneously do away with the corrupt practices that have been formed over years. Do they mean to say that they have nothing to do with the corrupt practices? This government is the continuation of the previous one,” said Mr Demirtchyan.
