Is national unity possible in case of Armenians?
Support A1+!Armenians are capable to proclaim national unity, says Republican lawmaker Vardan Ayvazyan reminding the consolidation of Armenians in August in response to Azerbaijan’s aggression. “We had better show a unified approach all issues. It will help us avoid failures," he said. Republican faction MP Garegin Nushikyan can say in which issues Armenians are united. The businessman says this consolidation is based on the faith in the government and leadership. Another Republican lawmaker Sukias Avetisyan says all those who voted for the acting authorities and confide in them can unite around them. “By saying authorities we should first of all take in mind the state.” Does it mean that the opposition is polluting the environment by criticizing the authorities and hindering national unity? In reply to the question, Mr Avetisyan said, “The opposition cannot agree with a lot of issues but they should demonstrate a constructive approach in many issues.” Mr Avetisyan also recalled the events of this August when Armenians united to resist Azerbaijan’s attacks. “Everyone forgot about controversies and disagreements. They put aside political conflicts and stood up to back our army, our soldiers," he said.
