A country’s president should be an educated and virtuous person, a man without criminal records, a member of the Council of Elders said ironically when commenting on the statement of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Gagik Tsarukyan, who yesterday expressed his readiness to run for president. “I am a more prepared candidate,” Anahit Bakhshyan said laughing, “Can you imagine everyone expressing desire to become president. Because of them we are in this situation today. Because of you we have appeared in the current situation.” Anahit Bakhshyan has on my mind candidates for a presidential election but they are not the leaders of the opposition parties. Anyway, she is going to participate in the rallies organized by the opposition trio. The former lawmaker says there are grounds for a change of government. At the same time she confesses that she had more confidence in the opposition in 2008 than today. In particular, she does not trust the BHK. “Let us not forget who brought troops, who disguised his bodyguards and sent against the people, and eventually, who helped Galust Sahakyan to become parliament speaker,” she said in conclusion.
