Azerbaijan hands over body of Armenian civilian
The body of the Armenian citizen Karen Petrosyan, killed in Azerbaijani captivity in August, has been handed over to the corresponding bodies of Armenia. Talking to PastInfo news agency, Zara Amatuni, a spokesperson for the ICRC Delegation to Armenia, said the handover took place near Ghazakh region at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. The 31-year-old resident of Tavush region was taken captive in Azerbaijan after crossing the interstate border on August 7. He was reported dead a day later. Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense cited a heart failure as the reason of the decease.
