Armenian Defense Minister, US Ambassador discuss cooperation within NATO format
Armenia’s Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan received on Wednesday U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern and the newly appointed Defense Attache, Colonel Anthony Sebo. The latter handed over to Seyran Ohanyan a letter of recommendation from US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel. During the meeting, the Armenian official and the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia discussed Armenia-US relations, as well as issues of defense cooperation within the NATO format, particularly within the framework of the NATO-initiated platform of cooperation with partners and development of cooperation. John Heffern assured Seyran Ohanyan that the US will continue developing defense cooperation with Armenia. The interlocutors also discussed other issues relating to bilateral cooperation and regional security.
