Nikol Pashinyan receives MPs of Homeland faction of Parliament of Artsakh (video)

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received MPs of the Homeland faction of the Parliament of Artsakh led by leader of the Free Homeland party Arayik Harutyunyan.

Pashinyan attached importance to such format meetings, stating that the meetings with the Artsakh parliamentary factions will continue in the future.

“This is a very good chance to record and sum up what concrete developments have taken place in the relations with Artsakh within the past one and a half year. I would like to talk about the financial-economic sector. The first and most important issue is perhaps the following: the talk is about the reconstruction of the inter-state loan. We have reached a respective agreement when Mr. Harutyunyan was serving as state minister of Artsakh. This is a very important decision which is implemented de facto. Our government has made a political decision with the Artsakh government that it is better for these sums to be circulated in the Republic of Artsakh”, Pashinyan said.

He also highlighted the Armenian government’s another decision according to which 2.1 billion AMD will be provided for the improvement of the frontline and the service conditions of soldiers in general. “The draft decision on providing 2.9 billion AMD for solving the housing issues of the Artsakh servicemen is under circulation at this moment”, the PM said, adding that a decision has also been made to acquire 10 ambulance vehicles for Artsakh.

Thereafter, the meeting participants touched upon issues relating to the cooperation of the governments and parliaments of the two Armenian states, the partnership in various areas, etc.

Pashinyan also thoroughly touched upon the Nagorno Karabakh conflict’s settlement process and the ongoing works in army-building.

Arayik Harutyunyan thanked the Armenian PM for the meeting and introduced the upcoming actions of his party.
