Heritage leader to file second petition with CC
Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian met on March 6 with Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea to discuss massive violations recorded during the Feb. 18 presidential election in Armenia and the ensuing political crisis due to the popular distrust for the official vote result..
The meeting was attended by Onno Simons, Head of the Political, Economic, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Political Advisor Andrey Didenko and Hovsep Khurshudyan, Spokesman for Raffi Hovannisian's Campaign Headquarters.
On March 6, Raffi Hovannisian is scheduled to meet with President of the German Bundestag Norbert Lammert, who is in Armenia on an official visit.
Karen Mezhlumian, a legal counselor to Raffi Hovannisian, will file a second petition with the Constitutional Court on March 6 to challenge the constitutionality of Article 18 (Part 5) of the RA Election Code.
