HHK: Why didn’t Raffi Hovannisian accept our offer
Vice-Chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), Eduard Sharmazanov, has replied to presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian's statement that the ink stamps put in citizens' passport can be easily wiped off with a wet napkin.
"Instead of making similar ungrounded statements Raffi Hovannisian had better use the opportunity provided to him by the pro-government party. The HHK earlier announced that it gives its seats [of proxies] in two electoral commissions to presidential candidates Hrant Bagratyan, Armenia's former prime minister, and Raffi Hovannisian, Chairman of the Heritage party," said the HHK official.
"In order to prevent such baseless accusations Hovannisian's representatives could have showed up at these polling stations to prevent the violation, if they really came across a similar incident."
