Part of the voters of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), which decided not to contest the February 18 presidential election, will vote for [Republican party's candidate] Serzh Sargsyan and [Heritage party leader] Raffi Hovannisian. The votes intended for the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) will be divided between [former prime minister] Hrant Bagratyan and Raffi Hovannisian, Aharon Adibekyan, Director of the Sociometer center, told journalists on January 23.

The public opinion poll conducted by the Centre earlier this month suggests that 75 percent of voters will go to the polls on February 18. Twenty-one percent of the respondents are undecided about February's ballot.

"The struggle will be led for this 21%. If Raffi Hovannisian manages to attract them, he will beat his challengers," said Mr Adibekyan.

Some 1650 people participated in the poll. 670 refused to reply questions, saying they are not interested in politics.
