Gagik Tsarukyan not to stand for president
The political council and parliamentary group of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) convened a joint session on December 12 to determine the format of the party's participation in the 2013 presidential election.
In his opening speech, BHK Leader Gagik Tsarukyan said he would not nominate his candidature in February's presidential election. He also thanked his colleagues for the unconditional trust and support.
Based on the announcement, the participants of the joint session decided that the party will not nominate its candidate in the 2013 presidential polls. Nor will BHK support the candidates of other forces.
