Armenian MP Nahapet Gevorgyan cannot say whether he is a feudal lord or not but he can show it.

"You, guy, get down to your business. Keep the recorder near your mouth and answer your question," said Nahapet Gevorgyan.
Armen Mkhitaryan, who was twice elected to parliament under the majoritarian system, is surprised at the statement of Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan who said MPs elected under the majoritarian ticket are feudals.

"If there was such a thing, why didn't Kocharyan try to prevent it?" said Mkhitaryan.

One of the relatives of Republican Galust Sahakyan has been elected MP from Ashots region three times. However he does not consider himself a feudal lord either. He says he has nether privatized Ashots not its voters.

"If the feudal system is capable of taking our country and people onward, I am not against it," he said.
Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) MP Rustam Gasparyan refrained from speaking about feudalism but said that many MPs take seats in parliament to protect their estates and property.

"These people take mandates either to protect their business or for personal interests," he says.
Hrant Grigoryan, an MP from Armavir, also disagrees with Robert Kocharyan.

"I think that we should increase the number of majoritarian MPs," says Hrant Grigoryan, a relative of General Manvel Grigoryan.

Reoublican Mp Koryun Nahapetyan, the brother-in-law of businessman Samvel Alexanyan, holds the same opinion.
"There are not feudal lords in Armenia and the assessment is offensive to us," he said.
