Syrian-Armenian child misses his home and bed
At least 250 Syrian-Armenian children study at the Cilicia charitable organization operating inside Nar Dos School in Yerevan while Cilicia charitable organization promised to cover the financial costs of 100 children.
"We are ready to cooperate with all individuals and organizations who would like to help our organization," Vazgen Mesropyan, a member of the charitable organization, told A1+.
The organization says the Armenian government is interested in the problems of Syrian Armenians but does not provide financial assistance.
The organization has also solved the issue of textbooks and transportation as the Yerevan Municipality refused to provide buses to the school.
Principal of Cilicia School Nora Piliposyan settled in Armenia three months ago. She says the children go to bed in the hope that the war will end and they will be able to return to Syria.
"It is our birthplace and our home. We left everything there," she said.
Seven-year-old Miko says he has missed his friends, home and, most of all, his bed.
