Popular Armenian actor Sos Sargsyan turns 83 on October 24. However, "Hamazgain" (All-National) Theatre is not going to show any performance on the occasion. The reason is that People's Artist of Armenia is currently in hospital where he was taken on October 19 as a result of lung failure, a representative of the theater, Rima Ghazaryan, told A1+.

"The actor is under the supervision of physicians. Unfortunately, no performances will be shows at the theatre on the day of his birthday. Doctors described his condition as stable," she said.

Sos Sargsyan was born in the city of Stepanavan in 1929. In 1948, he moved to Yerevan and worked at Yerevan State Theatre of the Young Spectator as an actor. He acted in forty feature films, including "Guys from the Army Band," "Triangular," "We and Our Mountains," "Nahapet," "Khatabala," and many others.
