Aram Manukyan approved of Siradeghyan's arrest?
Chairman of the Pan-Armenian National Movement (HHSh), Aram Manukyan, would not like Armenia's ex-interior minister Vano Siradeghyan to return to Armenia, head of Siradeghyan's security guard Suren Sirunyan said on Wednesday.
Speaking about the initiative group that has been calling for Vano Siradeghyan's return for a month Suren Sirunyan said, "Many HHSh members have not yet expressed their stance on the issue."
Further, he recalled an interesting episode involving Aram Manukyan. It happened when the RA Prosecutor General came to the National Assembly to demand the legislative body to remove Siradeghyan's immunity.
"If I am not mistaken Aram Manukyan was the country's deputy minister of culture then. He personally asked Siradeghyan [I was present there] either to abstain from the vote or tp vote for the Prosecutor's petition as he feared lest he should be dismissed from work," said Sirunyan.
Aram Manukyan was not the only person who agreed to remove Siradeghyan's immunity. If there are people who would try to disagree with me, I can give more names," he added.
Aram Manukyan refrained from making comments. Vano Siradeghyan is charged with organization of assassinations of a number of political figures and is wanted by Interpol.
The talks over his possible return to Armenia have been spread recently via Facebook.
