The last person to see former interior minister Vano Siradeghyan in Armenia was the head of Siradeghyan's security guard Suren Sirunyan.

Talking to journalists in Yerevan, Sirunyan dismissed the allegations that the Chief of the RA Police Vladimir Gasparyan had gone to Zvartnots airport in April 2000 to see off Siradeghyan.

He recalled that on the day of his departure [April 3, 2000] Vano Siradeghyan spent the night in the premises of the All-Armenian National Movement (HHSh) and no official called on him that night.

"Nor did he have a telephone conversation with any official as his phone was with me. No one, including Siradeghyan's family members, knew about his intention to leave the country," said Sirunyan.

Vano Siradeghyan is charged with organization of assassinations of a number of political figures and is wanted by Interpol.

The talks over his possible return to Armenia have been spread recently via Facebook.
