Turkey is positioning itself in its border with Syria.
Local mass media outlets today reported that the Turkish authorities have sent military technical equipment to some positions on the border.

Turkey has sent 30 columns of cars to the bordering Iskenderu.

Artillery and missiles have been sent to the 3rd border infantry located in Hatay province, while Shanliurfa province has received tanks.

The relations between Ankara and Damascus intensified after the Syrian side eliminated the Turkish destroyer and some experts say things may lead up to military operations.

However, the Turkish government has declared that it doesn't want war and that it will solve the issue through diplomacy.

Nevertheless, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan has declared that the incident related to the destroyer has made Turkey, based on its national security interests, reconsider the issue of security on the Turkey-Syria border.

According to the Prime Minister, sending military equipment to the borders simply proves Ankara's determination to prevent any provocation from the Syrian side.
