Hrayr Tovmasyan: “New sweep to cooperation”
Armenia has made a decision on European integration and that is final. This is what RA Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan announced during the third session of the Armenia-EU subcommittee on Justice, Freedom and Security, adding that there has been a new sweep brought to the cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the European family.
"It is difficult to recall a government session or discussion where the officials haven't asked whether this or that decision or standard corresponds to the EU standards, starting from borders, food safety and ending with justice and liberty," writes PASTINFO.
The RA Minister of Justice also underlined that the road to European integration had been quite difficult due to dozens of factors that have impeded and continue to impede the process, including mindset, inertia and the times of the Soviet Union and added that the will of the Armenian political authorities to take that path is shown through concrete steps, including legislative reforms.
Tovmasyan attached importance to the activities of subcommittees involved with justice, liberty and security and other issues. According to the minister, the first thing that all citizens of Armenia want is to see a secure country hinged on the principle of justice.
"These are the two guarantees that provide all countries with the opportunity to develop," said the RA Minister of Justice.
