“This opposition is like a “phonogram” of the previous one”
The representatives of the political parties' parliamentary factions have expressed their final positions on the government's five-year plan. Deputy of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) Hrant Bagratyan declared once again that this plan didn't fall in line with the real demands. "In 2007-2011, the government led by Serzh Sargsyan and Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan have increased poverty from 23 percent to 36 percent."
According to Bagratyan, it's not the first time that the government that allowed economic downfall isn't stepping down, but the first three Prime Ministers of Armenia did resign. In response to this, Khosrov Harutyunyan, who was Prime Minister in 1992, said he had resigned due to discrepancies with Hrant Bagratyan when he was the Prime Minister.
Leader of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction Galust Sahakyan said the opposition members' speeches weren't really constructive.
"If the government had serious flaws, then the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and the "Country of Law" Party (OEK) shouldn't have been in parliament today. As for emigration, I must say it is once again the price of independence. Today's Armenian opposition is like a phonogram of the opposition Armenia had in the 1990s. I call for a little correctness."
Then, Galust Sahakyan called upon the HAK faction to help the government turn what the government has promised the people into a reality, after which NA Chairman Hovik Abrahamyan said Sahakyan was saying that so that the people would blame the HAK for not fulfilling their pledges.
