They won’t leave the HAK
STATEMENT
The May 22 assembly of the "People's Power" public-political initiative, discussing the political state in Armenia created after the 2012 National Assembly elections, declares:
1. The 2012 National Assembly elections were held through falsifications, large-scale bribery through which the ruling party and its "appendix" party managed to ensure the necessary amount of mandates by voting for over 700,000 voters out of the 1.2 million absentees and by using administrative resources.
2. The elections were not fair and transparent, and that was also led by the Central Electoral Commission, which was seen by the violation of the provisions in Article 66 (5) and Article 49 (1) of the RA Electoral Code.
3. The RA Prosecutor General's Office and other law-enforcement authorities didn't focus on the overt violations and didn't give an adequate response.
4. The created situation shows the main goal established in the Proclamation of the Armenian National Congress, which states that restoration of constitutional order and the formation of a legitimate government through elections were not made possible.
5. Based on the above mentioned, the "People's Power" public-political initiative reaffirms its determination to remain in the Armenian National Congress to lead the joint struggle to establish constitutional order, shape a free, democratic, legal and prosperous country and form a full-fledged civil society.
